The measurement is carried out with the heat generation tester (WATson) in accordance with a validated Hohenstein method. In doing this, the physical evaporative cooling performance of sweat/water is measured in watts for the sample made available as the fabric layer. The physical cooling effect of different materials can be assessed comparatively and evaluated using the maximum achieved cooling effect of the current technology leader.
